Image Khoshnoudi; Bani Nacida en Teherán, Bani estudió Fotografía y Cine en la Universidad de Texas en Austin. Es directora y artista visual, su trabajo gira en torno a temas relacionados con el desplazamiento y la memoria (colectiva). Su cortometraje Transit (2004), ganó el Premio del Jurado en el Festival de Angers y fue nominado para los premios Jean Vigo y Prix Terxeixa-Novaïs. En 2008 produjo y dirigió el largometraje documental A People in the Shadows en Teherán. En 2012 acabó la realización de su primer largometraje de ficción Ziba, que escribió en la Residencia de la Cinéfondation del Festival de Cannes. Fue invitada a participar en el Independent Study Program del Whitney Museum of American Art, donde desarrolló proyectos en forma de instalaciones de video y sonido. Su trabajo ha sido exhibido en galerías y espacios alternativos en Nueva York, Berlin, Paris, Rotterdam, Cairo y México. En 2016 estuvo comisionada por el Centro Pompidou en París para realizar un proyecto para su programa Hors Pistes. Realizó el mediometraje Transits: Our traces, our ruin. Su segundo largometraje de ficción se titula Luciérnagas. Vive en la Ciudad de México desde 2009.
