September 5 is a tense historical reconstruction set during the 1972 Munich Olympic Games, where a group of American sports journalists is abruptly pulled away from covering the games to face a global tragedy: the hostage-taking of 11 Israeli athletes by a Palestinian terrorist organization. Through the eyes of the ABC reporters, who witnessed the crisis firsthand, the film explores the crucial role television played in broadcasting the event in real-time.

Mexico will no longer exist!

¡Aoquic iez in Mexico! ¡Ya México no existirá más!

A frenetic view runs over a convulsed Mexico City, a colossal metropolis sustained by the myth of "mestizaje" and other colonial forms of violence. Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult. This is an erratic film that invites us to reimagine the complex relationship we have with the constructed “mexicanidad.”
