Tamayo knows he doesn’t want to be the person he once was – or the person he’d have to be if he adhered to family expectations. But it’s hard to find a new path, and perhaps, before he can begin, he will have to put his feelings into words. With the actions intrinsic to late adolescence and the sincerity of one friend addressing another, Tamayo revisits a long list of weaknesses and miseries: his family heritage.
