This is the story of Ilich Ramírez Sánchez, alias Carlos, an activist on many fronts. He manipulates and is manipulated, influenced by the historical events of the time. As an actor as well as a victim – Carlos is a complex and contradictory character. He supports the Palestinian cause, has radical left ideas, and is also a mercenary paid by secret service agents of the Middle East.
