Su obra ha recorrido más de 40 festivales alrededor del mundo. Ganó el Primer Premio Ex Aequoen el 2° Festival Internacional de Escuelas de Cine, Buenos Aires, Argentina, con su ópera prima documental, en co-dirección con Guadalupe Miranda, Las compañeras tienen grado (1995), que participó, además, en el 20° Margaret Mead Film Festival, Nueva York; en el 6° Festival Internacional de Escuelas de Cine de Tel Aviv, Israel; y en el 15° Women in The Director’s Chair International Film & Video Festival, Chicago, entre otros. Su segundo largometraje documental, Papá Iván (2000), fue ganador de tres menciones honoríficas y tres premios internacionales, entre ellos, el Coral a Mejor Documental en el 22° Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano, La Habana, Cuba, y el Ariel a Mejor Cortometraje Documental en la 45ª edición de los premios Ariel, México. Presentó esta obra en el simposio “Recordar el pasado e inventar el futuro”, en la División de Literatura, Culturas y Lenguas de la Universidad de Stanford, California. Obtuvo el Premio del Público a Mejor Largometraje Documental Mexicano en el 3er Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM) con Un día más (2004). Su largometraje documental, en co-dirección con Laura Imperiale y Shula Erenberg, Cavallo entre rejas (2006), fue ganador del Premio Ex Aequo en el 6° Festival Latinoamericano de Video y Artes Audiovisuales Rosario (FLVR) y de una Mención del Jurado en el 5° Festival Internacional del Documental Tres Continentes, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Trabajó como guionista y asesora de montaje con el fotógrafo submarino Manuel Lazcano, en los cortometrajes: ECO, Bajo la lente de Manuel Lazcano (2007), ganador del Tercer Lugar en el 4º Festival Internacional de Fotografía y Cine Submarino del Mediterráneo Oriental, República Turca del Norte de Chipre, y La expedición Ja’tay continúa (2009), ganador de un Premio Especial del Jurado en el 36° Festival Mundial de la Imagen Submarina, Marsella, Francia.
