Image Zacanini; Laura She studied interactive digital design at the Universidad Iberoamericana León (UIA), Guanajuato, Mexico. She has participated in various filmmaking appreciation classes and workshops. She formed part of the Guanajuato Film Collective, with which she made several short films. In 2015, she received a grant from the Support Program for Production and Artistic and Cultural Development in the area of film from the Cultural Institute of León (ICL, in Spanish), Mexico. Her short film Querido Santa Clos (2010) participated in the 14th Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF). Her short film L’appel (2015) won the Best Short Film Award at the 17th GIFF and was part of the Official Selection of the 13th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). Other Movies Mexico will no longer exist! A frenetic view runs over a convulsed Mexico City, a colossal metropolis sustained by the myth of "mestizaje" and other colonial forms of violence. Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult.
