He worked as a producer in Toro negro (2005), directed by Carlos Armella and Pedro González-Rubio, which won the Best Feature Documentary award at the 3rd Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). He participated as a director at the 7th FICM with his short fiction film A solas (2009), which won the Best Actor award at the 5th Short Shorts Film Festival Mexico (SSFFM). His screenplay Detrás de la montaña was part of the 18th Oaxaca Screenwriters Lab, organized by the Carmen Toscano Foundation, in collaboration with the Mexican Film Institute (IMCINE), the Cineteca Nacional de México, the Ibermedia program and the Sundance Institute.
