Rincón, Luis

He studied communication at the Iberoamericana University (UIA, in Spanish), in Mexico. In 2010 he received the Young Creators Grant of the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA) for his project México bárbaro (2010). He also received the Fund for Quality Film Production (FOPROCINE, in Spanish) and the Tribeca Film Institute Latin America Media Arts Fund for the production of his project La sirena y el mito del eterno retorno. At the 7th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) he participated with his documentary El árbol olvidado (2009), nominated at the 53rd Ariel Awards and winner of the Best Mexican Feature-Length Documentary Award at the 4th International Documentary Film Festival of Mexico City DocsDF.
