Image Monteforte Lahera; Adriana Animation, Direction Adriana Monteforte Lahera is a Mexican animator and film director. Her work is distinguished by its continuous exploration of new ways of representing Mexico and its culture, using animation to evoke the mystical and magical dimensions of daily life, along with themes of memory, absence, and melancholy. Her artistic proposal merges documentary and fiction techniques, personal writing, and visual experimentation, with a special interest in spatial composition.She majored in Graphic Design at the Ibero-American University, completed a Master’s degree in Documentary Animation at the Royal College of Art in London, and graduated with distinction for her research project. She also received training in gouache painting and TVPaint animation.Throughout her professional career, she has worked with techniques such as 2D and 3D animation, traditional animation, and motion graphics. In addition to this, she has collaborated on commercial projects for brands and institutions including the Mexican Secretariat of Tourism, TED Conferences (Technology, Entertainment, Design), AT&T, and Milky Way. She also contributed to the production of an animated sequence for a Natalia Lafourcade music video as part of Netflix’s Song Exploder.Her current work continues to focus on exploring the boundaries between documentary and narrative animation, with the aim of creating an authorial proposal that discovers new ways of portraying Mexico and those who live there.
