She participated in the 5th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) with her feature film La isla de la juventud (2007), winner of the Best Documentary at the 2nd Riviera Maya Cancun International Film Festival and three collateral prizes at the 10th International Documentary Film Festival Santiago Álvarez in Memoriam, Cuba. Her short film Always On My Mind (2013) was presented at several film festivals around the world including the 18th Madrid International LGTB Film Festival (LesGaiCineMad, in Spanish), Spain; the 2nd MECAL CHILE, Latin American & International Short Film Festival, Chile; the 16th Festival MIX Mexico, Film and Video Festival; the 10th Paraguay LGBT Film Festival; among others.
