Image Anaya Borja; Miguel He studied a degree in Graphic Communication at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM). He was a member of the National System of Creators of the Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA) from 2011 to 2013. Producer and independent director of animated films, he has participated in numerous festivals around the world, including four editions of the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). He participated in the 5th FICM with De la vista nace el amor (2007). This work was presented in more than 20 national and international festivals and received, among other prizes, the Ariel for Best Animated Short Film in the 50th Ariel Awards in Mexico; a Special Mention of the Jury at the 49th International Film Festival of Cartagena de Indias (FICCI) in Colombia; the First Place for Animation in the 2nd Latin American Short Film Festival in Barina, Venezuela; and the First Place for Animation at the 5th Latin American Film and Video Festival in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He presented El armadillo fronterizo (2010) at the 7th FICM, a short film that won the Public Prize at the 14th Festival Internacional de Cine para Niños (...y no tan Niños), La Matatena, in Mexico City; a Special Mention of the SIGNIS Jury and the prize for Best Edition at the 5th Short Shorts Film Festival Mexico (SSFFM). He participated in the 8th FICM with the animated short Tempo Rubato (2010). With his animation short film, El último jaguar (2015), he was part of the Official Selection of the 13th FICM and concluded a trilogy of which the first two parts were part of the Official Selection of the Festival a year before. El color de mis alas (2014) and Tlacuache de maguey (2014). Both participated in various festivals: El color de mis alas was at the 29th Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG), at the 9th SSFFM and at the 18th International Festival of Animation and Cartoon in Seoul (SICAF), among others. Tlacuache de Maguey premiered at the 17th Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF) and was in competition, among other festivals, at the 16th International Short Film Festival in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and at the 9th International Film Festival of Animation Anim'est (Anim'est IAFF), in Bucharest, Romania. Both works were nominated for Best Animated Short Film in the 57th Ariel Awards. In 2017, he was once again a part of the Official Selection with his short film Cielo.
