He received two Honorable Mentions at the State Short Film Contest for Social Conscience La culpa la tenemos todos, organized by the Acción Unida civil society, based in Morelia: at the first edition with Eclipse (2010) and at the second edition with El festín del monstruo (2011); which was also part of the Official Selection of the 2nd Puebla International Film Festival (FIC Puebla).
