Aburto, Vladimir

He studied Journalism at the Instituto de Ciencias y Estudios Superiores de Michoacán (ICESM). His short fiction film 2×1 (2005) was part of the 6th Independent Film and Video Showcase, Morelia. He participated in the 7th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) with his short film Di la bella morte (2009). He received two Honorable Mentions at the State Short Film Contest for Social Conscience La culpa la tenemos todos, organized by the Acción Unida civil society, based in Morelia: at the first edition with Eclipse (2010) and at the second edition with El festín del monstruo (2011); which was also part of the Official Selection of the 2nd Puebla International Film Festival (FIC Puebla).
