A rebel man dies in 1970, after having been tortured for 109 days by the Brazilian military. His girlfriend Denise, imprisoned during her pregnancy, manages to flee to Chile after the birth of her daughter and meet her parents. But repression strikes again, with the Pinochet coup, forcing them to leave. After 40 years in Italy and Holland, Denise and her daughter are given amnesty and reparation from Brazil, opening the way to a more just future.

Mexico will no longer exist!

¡Aoquic iez in Mexico! ¡Ya México no existirá más!

A frenetic view runs over a convulsed Mexico City, a colossal metropolis sustained by the myth of "mestizaje" and other colonial forms of violence. Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult. This is an erratic film that invites us to reimagine the complex relationship we have with the constructed “mexicanidad.”
