Berenice, a beautiful and enigmatic widow, is devoted to caring for her godmother Josefina, a shrewd and ailing old woman. Following the death of the family doctor, Berenice meets and is immediately drawn to his son, the attractive Rodrigo. Despite the rumor that Berenice set fire to the place where her husband died, Rodrigo is determined to ask her out. A complex passion is born.
