William Tell, a former serviceman-turned-poker player, leads a solitary existence on the casino trail, fleeing his dark past. He encounters Cirk, an angry and vulnerable young man obsessed with seeking revenge on a military colonel Tell was once in trouble with. As he sets his sights on winning a major poker tournament, Tell takes Cirk with him on the road, determined to keep him away from the violence he knows so well.
