Alex and Mireille were born in 1960 and live in Paris, but they don't know each other yet. Leos Cárax's famous debut feature, which, in addition to showing reminiscences of silent cinema, reflects the influence of filmmakers such as Cocteau, Dreyer, Godard or Bresson. French critics called Leos Cárax the only authentic filmmaker of the 80s.

Los amantes del Pont-Neuf

Around the Pont Neuf (the oldest bridge in Paris, contrary to its name), a love story develops between two homeless people: Alex and Michelle. He is a frustrated circus performer and alcoholic; she, a painter who is suffering from a painful breakup and losing her eyesight. A bond of mutual dependence grows and intensifies between them.
