One year in the lives of Molly and Diego. Molly is a 21-year-old American who spent all summer in Mexico City studying Spanish. Diego is a 14-year-old city boy that is dying to have his cousin. Summer ends and Molly returns to New York. As autumn arrives, Diego discovers his grandfather has cancer and must be operated; his mother must rent a room in the house to help with the expenses of the operation. When Molly returns to Mexico in the winter, she rents the room. Molly and Diego meet. Diego´s feelings for his cousin are thwarted with his new obsession for Molly. Diego invites Molly to the beach, after a week and several sunbathes she returns to the USA. Diego can´t live without his blonde and escapes to New York. They spend a day in Coney Island before saying goodbye for the last time.
