Image Sala; Xavi Dirección, Producción, Guión Licenciado en Periodismo. Guionista, director y productor de cine. De origen catalán, nacionalizado mexicano. Es autor de diversos guiones para largometrajes, entre los que destacan: Viatge d'estudis (finalista Premio Pilar Miró de Largometrajes 2007) y Bienvenida, María (finalista del Concurso SGAE Julio Alejandro 2004). Ha escrito, dirigido y producido nueve cortometrajes que han participado en numerosos festivales, y que han obtenido más de ochenta premios y el reconocimiento internacional. Entre ellos resaltan: Festival de Tampere, Oberhausen, Dresden, San Sebastián, Berlín, Guadalajara, Sao Paulo, Huesca, Alcalá de Henares, Los Ángeles, Chicago, Montreal, Seúl, Sidney y Tánger. Su cortometraje “Hiyab” fue nominado a los Premios Goya. Tiene amplia experiencia docente como profesor de guion de cine en México y diversos países del mundo: CCC, UNAM, Universidad Autónoma de Toluca, Centro, Arte 7, CIBEF,Ciudad de la Luz (Alacant), EICTV de San Antonio de los Baños (Cuba), Centros Culturales de España en Colombia, Brasil, México, Chile, Perú, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Marruecos y Guinea Ecuatorial. También ha sido asesor de guión de Proimágenes, Ministerio de Cultura de Colombia. En México ha sido guionista de la productora de televisión Argos e Ítaca Films, y ha co-escrito un largometraje con la actriz Ofelia Medina. En 2018 ha finalizado Xquipi’ Guie’dani (El ombligo de Guie’dani), su primer largometraje como director, proyecto seleccionado por el Laboratorio Sundance de Oaxaca (México), ganador del Premio Procine y Premio Cinépolis Distribución en el Festival de Cine de Morelia.
