Image García Franco; Andrés Dirección, Edición, Fotografía, Producción, Sonido Estudió Cinematografía en el Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos (CUEC-UNAM), Ciudad de México, y una maestría en Artes Visuales y Cine en San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI), California, Estados Unidos, para la cual obtuvo la beca Fulbright-García Robles y la del Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (FONCA). Obtuvo el Apoyo a la Producción Fílmica por parte de la Filmoteca de la UNAM, en 2004, y ganó el Concurso de Ópera Prima Documental del CUEC, en 2012, para la realización de La historia negra del cine mexicano, que se encuentra, actualmente, en proceso de postproducción. Su obra cinematográfica se ha presentado en numerosos festivales y muestras alrededor del mundo, entre ellos, dos ediciones del Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM). Participó, con su cortometraje de ficción La Invención de Morel (2009) en el 4° Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM); en el Short Film Corner del 61° Festival de Cannes, Francia; y en el 55° Festival Internacional de Cine de San Sebastián, España, entre otros. Obtuvo por esta obra el Primer Lugar en la Competencia de Escuelas de Cine de Kodak 2006, y una Mención Especial en el 6° Encuentro Internacional de Escuelas de Cine, en el marco del 55° Festival Internacional de Cine de San Sebastián, España. En el 7° FICM presentó su cine-ensayo Cines abandonados (2009), dentro del ciclo Cine sin Fronteras. Además, ha presentado diversas instalaciones y presentaciones de cine en vivo en varios museos y galerías de arte alrededor del mundo, entre ellos, el Museo de Arte Moderno de San Francisco (SFMOMA por sus siglas en inglés), California, y el Laboratorio Arte Alameda, Ciudad de México. Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult.
