Image Pablos; David Dirección, Edición, Guión David Pablos estudió en el Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC). Recibió la Beca Fullbright para realizar una especialización en Dirección de Cine en la Universidad de Columbia en Nueva York, y en 2009 fue seleccionado para participar en el Berlinale Talent Campus. La primera vez que participó en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM) fue en 2008 con su cortometraje La canción de los niños muertos (2008), el cual ganó el Premio a Mejor Cortometraje y participó en la Semana de la Crítica en Cannes. En 2010, participó en la categoría de Documental Mexicano en el 8° FICM con su película Una frontera, todas las fronteras (2010). En 2013, su largometraje La vida después (2013) fue parte de la Selección Oficial del 11° FICM, en el cual obtuvo el Premio Klic. Ese mismo año, Pablos participó fuera de competencia en el FICM con dos películas, en la sección Canal 22 Presenta 20 y+ por el arte, Neza York (2013) y 20 y+ por el arte, Hacia la cumbre del Izta (2013). Su reciente película Las elegidas (2015), basada en el libro de Jorge Volpi y producida por Diego Luna, se presentó en el 68° Festival de Cine de Cannes, se estrenó en México en el 13° FICM y en la 58 edición de los premios Ariel ganó los premios a Mejor Película, Mejor Dirección, Mejor Fotografía, Mejor Revelación Femenina y Mejor Guión Original. Other Movies Mexico will no longer exist! A frenetic view runs over a convulsed Mexico City, a colossal metropolis sustained by the myth of "mestizaje" and other colonial forms of violence. Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult.
