11 · 15 · 17 Short films winners of the FICM Online: The Song of the Dead Children, by David Pablos Share with twitter Share with facebook Share with mail Copy to clipboard It was in the sixth edition of the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), in 2008, when David Pablos' The Song of the Dead Children was recognized as Best Fiction Short Film. The Song of the Dead Children tells the story of a mother who was murdered and of a father who was left alone with five teenage children in his charge. The father could not offer comfort to his children, so he tried to isolate them and took them to the beach, to a stranger's hut. Everything changed when the children saw themselves in that house, united by depression and alcohol. The short film will be available on FICM’s YouTube channel until January 30, 2018.
