Image Rocha Valverde; Gregorio Carlos Dirección, Dirección de arte, Edición, Fotografía, Guión, Producción Estudió la licenciatura en Cinematografía en el Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos (CUEC-UNAM), Ciudad de México. Obtuvo, entre otras becas y apoyos, la Beca Fulbright/COMEXUS en 2001, y el apoyo del Fondo para la Cinematografía de Calidad (FOPROCINE) del Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía (IMCINE) en 2012 para la co-producción de su largometraje documental Muros (2014). Formó parte, además, del Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte (SNCA) del Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (FONCA), de 2011 a 2014. Desde hace más de diez años, ha coleccionado múltiples aparatos y películas cinematográficas de diferentes épocas y formatos, desde una Linterna Mágica de 1872 hasta un proyector Bell and Howell 16 mm de 1989. Pretende, con ello, activar un museo especializado en formatos pequeños de cine y un espacio de experimentación con la imagen proyectada para establecer conexiones entre lo analógico y lo digital. Su obra ha recorrido numerosos festivales alrededor del mundo, entre ellos, tres ediciones del Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM). Obtuvo, por su mediometraje documental Los rollos de Pancho Villa (2003), el Premio del Público en el 1er FICM; dos premios a Mejor Documental: en el 1er Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes de Ficción y Documentales de Arqueología y Patrimonio, Carmona Film Fest, y en la 10ª Muestra de Cine Latinoamericano de Cataluña, Lleida, en España; y el Premio del Jurado en el 23° Black Maria Film and Video Festival, New Jersey, Estados Unidos, entre otros. Participó en el 4° FICM con su largometraje documental Acme & Company (2006), por el que obtuvo el premio a Mejor Guión e Investigación en el 1er Festival de la Memoria Documental Iberoamericano (FMDI), Tepoztlán, México. Presentó su mediometraje documental, Toscanito, coleccionista de historias (Primer episodio de Luces, cámara… revolución) (2010), en el 8° FICM, dentro de la sección Canal 22 Presenta. Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult.
