Image Figueroa Flores; Gabriel Dirección Estudió las licenciaturas en Ciencias y Técnicas de la Información en la Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA), Ciudad de México, y en Artes Visuales en la Universidad de Westminster, Londres. Tomó talleres con Ansel Adams, Manuel Álvarez Bravo, Arnold Newman y Eikon Hosoe. Ha sido becario del Sistema Nacional de Creadores y es autor de diversos libros como Archipiélago Revillagigedo, La Última frontera (1988), Arquitectura Fantástica Mexicana (1991) y 500 años de Baja California (1997). Su obra como artista visual se ha exhibido en más de cinco países. “Vistas Construidas” se mostró en la Fototeca de Monterrey en 2012 y “Horizontes” en el Instituto Cultural de México en París en 2013, por ejemplo. Ha colaborado en publicaciones nacionales e internacionales como Life Magazine, Landscape Architecture, Artes de México, entre otras. Participó, entre otros festivales, en el 5° Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM), eh el 17° Festival de Cine de Hamburgo con su documental Un retrato para Diego (La revolución de la mirada) (2007), y exhibido en 2008 en la Escuela Internacional de Cine de Praga, en República Checa, y en 2009 en el Festival de Port Townsend, EU. Se ha dedicado también a la restauración del legado fotográfico de su padre, el reconocido cinematógrafo mexicano Gabriel Figueroa.
