Ganó el Premio a Mejor Guión de Largometraje en la Competencia Internacional de Guión en el 4° Oaxaca FilmFest por su guión Bardo. Participó en el 23° Festival de Cine Gay y Lésbico de Torino (TGLFF por sus siglas en inglés), Italia, y en el 2° Pride International Film Festival (PIFF), Manila, entre otros, con su cortometraje de ficción Puente (2007). Participó en el 6° Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM), como productor con el largometraje documental de Erik Flores Zavala, Stanley Sprockets: 101 Ways to Make a World Tour (2008), y como director con su cortometraje documental Spital Zürich (2008). Este último se presentó, además, en el Short Film Corner del 61° Festival de Cannes, entre otros festivales, y obtuvo el premio a Mejor Cortometraje Mexicano en el 5° Festival Internacional de Cine de Monterrey (FIC Monterrey), y dos menciones especiales, de Documental y de Montaje, en el 5° Festival Internacional de Cine Universitario Kinoki, Ciudad de México. Ganó una Mención Especial en el Short Film Corner Cannes à la Flip Competition, en el marco del 61° Festival de Cannes, con su cortometraje de ficción Last Results (2008).
