Participó en nueve festivales en España y México con su cortometraje documental Los desposeídos (2009), entre ellos el 7° Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM) y el 38° Festival Internacional de Cine de Huesca, España. Obtuvo, por esta obra, una Mención Honorífica en el premio José Rovirosa de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), en 2009; el premio a Mejor Documental en el 4° Encuentro Hispanoamericano de Cine y Video Documental Independiente Contra el Silencio Todas las Voces, México; y el premio a Mejor Documental y el galardón Emilio “Indio” Fernández en el 4° Festival Mantarraya de Cortometraje Universitario, Nayarit, México.
