Four 22nd FICM short films, presented at the 64th Cannes Critics’ Week, got a special screening in Paris

This Saturday, the four short films that had been presented by the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) at the 64th Cannes Critics’ Week were given a special screening in an out-of-competition screening at the Christine Cinéma Club of Paris.

This year's program included the short film Aguacuario by José Eduardo Castilla Ponce; Looking for a Donkey by Juan Vicente Manrique (Ojo for Best Mexican Short Documentary); Ser semilla by Julia Granillo Tostado; and Spiritum by Adolfo Margulis (Ojo for Best Mexican Short Fiction Film). These films were part of the Official Selection of the 22nd edition of FICM.

Adolfo Margulis, the director of Spiritum; Maurice Pereda, the cinematographer of this short film; and Daniel Carrera, the assistant director of Aguacuario, all attended the screening. Moreover, among the audience was John Coven, both director of the department of animated film at GOBELINS, l’ecole de l’image, and member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS); and Julio Feo, French-Spanish film critic and former host of Desayunos Horizontes of the San Sebastian International Film Festival. The audience was also composed of French-Mexican directors, students, and ANIMEXICO graduates from GOBELINS and Sorbonne Fine Arts, among others.
