05 · 22 · 25 FICM presented four Mexican short films in a special screening at the 64th Critics' Week at Cannes Share with twitter Share with facebook Share with mail Copy to clipboard As it has been done since 2005, the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), by invitation of the Cannes Film Festival, held a special out-of-competition screening at the Critics' Week, featuring four Mexican short films that were part of the Official Selection of the 22nd edition of FICM.Presented by Ava Cahen, delegate of the Critics’ Week, the special FICM screening was attended by Daniela Michel, founder and general director of FICM, and filmmakers José Eduardo Castilla Ponce, director of Aguacuario; Juan Vicente Manrique, director of Looking for a Donkey (winner of the Ojo for Mexican Short Documentary at the 22nd FICM); Julia Granillo Tostado, director of Ser semilla; Adolfo Margulis, director of Spiritum (winner of the Ojo for Best Mexican Short Fiction Film at the 22nd FICM), as well as part of the cast and crew of the short films.“This is a festival with which we have very strong and fraternal bonds, and which is also committed to discovering new talent,” said Ava Cahen about FICM.
