ABOUT CINE PARA TODXS 2023

Cine para todxs 2023 is a program of Mexican contemporary and classic film screenings in communitary spaces, films that have left a mark in the history of national cinema. Every film has been made by filmmakers who have been part of the program of past editions of the Morelia International Film Festival.

The current edition of the project, happening between July 31 and October 8 of 2023, has the valuable support of the Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía (IMCINE) through the Fomento al Cine Mexicano (FOCINE) program.

Cine para todxs originated with the objective of bringing back to life, through Mexican cinema, venues dedicated to the promotion of culture in their communities, in addition to continuing FICM's work to promote the work and talent of Mexican filmmakers.

The 2023 edition of Cine para todxs hopes to attract the public to community venues and movie theaters, and broaden opportunities for them to access Mexican cinema with artistic merit in our country. Forty-eight fiction and documentary films (18 feature films, 30 short films) and four self-portraits from FICM's Compendium of Contemporary Filmmakers will be screened at different venues in six cities around the country.
