Image Téllez Parra; Emilio He studied communication at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), took classes in animation at the International School of Film and Television (EICTV, in Spanish) in Havana, Cuba, and did post graduate studies in documentary film at the CUEC-UNAM film school. His work has been shown in various countries, including Mexico, Argentina, Cuba and Spain. He did the series Stranger (2006), Imagina (2006) and Zarape (2011-2012), which was published on several websites. His animated short film Un planeta para todos (2008) received an Honorable Mention at the 1st Animasivo Festival. His feature-length documentary Pamparios (2010) won first place at the 6th Indigenous Film and Video Festival of Mexico and at the Festival Internacional Visión Frontera 2010 in Baja California, Mexico. His short documentary Rey Nayar por el padre Pascual (2014) participated in the 9th International Documentary Film Festival of Mexico City (DocsDF). His second feature-length documentary Tiyarus (2015) was part of the Official Selection of the 13th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM).
