Image Ramón, Raúl He studied communication at the Jesuit University of Guadalajara (ITESO, in Spanish), Jalisco, Mexico; photography direction with cinematographer Ric Waite, at The Maine Workshops, Rockport, Maine, United States; and film directing with film and television director Alan Myerson, as well as actor direction with screenplay analyst, author and actress Judith Weston, in Los Angeles, California. His screenplay Poderoso Victoria (2011) won at the 6th Alejandro Galindo Screenwriting Improvement Workshop, organized by the Mexican Film Institute (IMCINE). He participated in the 1st Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) with his short fiction film La vacabólica (2003). His short fiction film La llama doble (2010) received the awards for Best Short Film at the 25th Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG) and Best Director at the 1st Valle de Bravo en Corto International Film Festival, Mexico. He produced the feature film La lucha de Ana (2012) by Bladimir Abud; which was shown at more than 20 festivals around the world, and won the Audience Award at the 29th Uruguay International Film Festival; and the Soberano Award for Best Picture at the 29th Soberano Awards Ceremony, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
