Latin American Tribeca will present awards at the 7th FICM

The Tribeca Latin American Fund for Audiovisual Arts supports Latin American media artists in the creation of new works that bring innovation to the media arts field. The fund, one of the Tribeca Film Institute's programs, receives financial support from Movie City (LAPTV) and the BBVA Bancomer Foundation.

The Tribeca Film Institute was founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff. Its programs are dedicated to serving the unifying power of film to promote creativity, innovation, tolerance and global awareness.

This is the second time the Latin America Fund awards will be presented at FICM. Lucila Moctezuma, director of Scholarships for Visual Arts at the Tribeca Film Institute and Richard Rohrbach, vice president of LAPTV programming and acquisitions, announced the scholarships in 2008.
