09 · 25 · 17 Salma Hayek and Olivia Harrison raise funds for Mexico Share with twitter Share with facebook Share with mail Copy to clipboard After the powerful earthquakes of September 7 and 19 that left devastation in Oaxaca, Chiapas, Mexico City, Morelos, Puebla and Estado de México, Mexican actress Salma Hayek, Special Guest of the first edition of the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), launched a fundraising campaign through UNICEF for children affected in Mexico and their families. She herself contributed with $100,000 dollars. Writer and producer Olivia Harrison, present at the 14th FICM, joined in this effort: the next $200,000 raised will be doubled by the George Harrison Foundation for UNICEF.
