Image Serra, Gabriel He studied social communication at the Universidad Centroamericana (UCA), Nicaragua, and cinematography at the CCC film school in Mexico City. He participated in Guadalajara Talents 2012. He was the photographer for the short fiction film by Laura Baumeister La siesta (2009) that was presented at the 1st Lakino – Latin American Film Festival Berlin and the 13th Ícaro International Central American Film Festival, Guatemala, among other festivals. He was part of the Morelia LAB Production Workshop at the 8th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) with the project Made in China (2010), directed by Paulina Rosas. He participated, among other festivals, in the 11th FICM with his short documentary film La Parka (2013), which won the Best Mexican Documentary award at the 8th Short Shorts Film Festival Mexico (SSFFM) and nominated for the 2015 Academy Awards. Other Movies Mexico will no longer exist! A frenetic view runs over a convulsed Mexico City, a colossal metropolis sustained by the myth of "mestizaje" and other colonial forms of violence. Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult.
