She is the director of the OaxacaCine Alcalá, a civil association dedicated to screening, distributing, creating and preserving film and audiovisual works in Oaxaca, Mexico. She participated in the 2nd Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) with her short experimental film Ensalada de Nopal (2003), also screened at the Guggenheim Museum of New York and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Bogotá, in 2004, among others, and won the award for Best Experimental Work at the 5th Geografías Suaves Festival in Mérida, Mexico.
