Image Rodríguez, Ana Paola She studied Hispanic language and literature at the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC), Mexico, and received a master’s degree in political and business communication from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), Spain. Her first feature length documentary Tijuaneados: Una lágrima, una sonrisa (2009) was shown at more than 10 festivals, including the 7th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM); the 5th International Documentary Film Festival of Mexico City (DocsDF, in Spanish); the 5th Ambulante Documentary Tour, Mexico; and the 4th BORDOCS Documentary Forum, Tijuana. This film won the Best Local Film award at the 18th San Diego Latino Film Festival (SDLFF) and the Project in Development Award launched by IMCINE and DocsDF, in 2007.
