He participated in the 6th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) with his first feature Bajo la sal (2008), which won six Silver Goddess awards at the 39th Silver Goddess Awards, Mexico, including Best Photography for Serguei Saldívar, Best Animation for René Castillo and Best Edition for Jorge García; and an Ariel for Best Actress for Irene Azuela at the 51st Ariel Awards, Mexico.
