Image Mueller, Mauro He received a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in film directing from Columbia University in New York. Director, producer and screenwriter, he is the founding partner of the production company Fidelio, México/EU. He is currently working on his first feature film Unos días al sol, and recently Perfidia (2013), debut film of David Figueroa García, selected to participate in the 12th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). He participated in Berlinale Talents 2012 and Guadalajara Talents 2013. His work has been shown at more than 60 festivals around the world, including two editions of FICM. His short film Ge.hen'nah (2010) won, among other awards, the Best International Short Film at the 1st Dare UnderGround Short Film Festival, Cork, Ireland. He participated in the 10th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) with his short fiction film Un mundo para Raúl (2012), which won, among other awards, the Soleil d’Or at the 12th International Best of Film Festival, La Ciotat, France; Best Dramatic Short Film at the 2nd New York International Short Film Festival (NY Shorts Fest); and the Best Student Short Film at the 12th Aspen Shortsfest, Colorado; and the Student Oscar at the 40th Student Academy Awards, Los Angeles. His short fiction film Fingerspiel / Juego de dedos (2013) was part of the Official Selection of the 12th FICM and it has also participated in the 26th Columbia University Film Festival, New York, and the 23rd Aspen Shortsfest.
