Gutiérrez, José Luis

He studied filmmaking at the CUEC-UNAM film school in Mexico City and participated in a workshop called Development of Iberoamerican Film Projects at the Casa de América and Carolina Foundation, Madrid. He participated in the 5th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) and in the 11th Málaga Film Festival with his first film Todos los días son tuyos (2007). He won the Silver Fish for Best Director at the 2nd Mirabile Dictu - International Catholic Film Festival, Rome, for his film Marcelino, Pan y Vino (2011). He also participated in the 21st San Diego Latino Film Festival (SDLFF) with his film Dame tus ojos (2014), among other festivals.
