She received a master’s degree in documentary production at Stanford University. She presented her short film Bajo el mismo techo (2010) in a dozen film festivals. It won, among other awards, the Best Short Film Award at the 1st UNAM International Film Festival (FICUNAM), Mexico City. She participated in the 9th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) and the 11th Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF) with her short documentary Dos cafés (2011).
