He has worked in various film projects and has made several short films with his independent company HDR Films. He won the Best Photography award for the short film Vida (2012) by Ricardo Mulhia at the 2nd Short Shorts Film Festival Toluca (SSFFM). He participated as director of photography, editor and director’s assistant in Historias (2014) by Ana Ireri Campos Estrada, winner of the Best Mexican Short Film Award at the 12th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM).
