Image Estrada Cárdenas, Lucio Pedro He studied political science at the Autonomous University of Querétaro (UAQ, in Spanish) and received a master’s degree in screenwriting and film directing from the Mexican Institute of Film and Humanistic Research (IMICH, in Spanish), Morelia. He also took a course in literature and film, among other classes, at the Michoacán University of Saint Nicolás of Hidalgo (UMICH), Morelia. He participated in the 9th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) as the producer and editor of the animated film by Alba Sovietina Estrada Cárdenas, SER O NO ser; and director of the short documentary film Aquí en mi tierra: La memoria y la palabra, which participated in th 9th International Festival of Poor Cinema of Gibara, Cuba. He won first place in the 2nd Desafía Exprés competition at the 1stUNAM International Film Festival (FICUNAM) with his short film El abuelo (2011).
