From an early age, she found in stories a form of refuge and a defense mechanism—an interest that inspired her to pursue film studies at the age of seventeen at Arte 7.Throughout her education, she wrote the short films No hay lugar como el hogar [No Place Like Home] and Esto es lo que nos hace mujeres [This Is What Makes Us Girls]—a project for which she received the award for Best University Short Film at the Maracaibo Film Festival in 2023.At the age of twenty, she worked on the projects Esequie and Brindisi Per Domani in Italy. She subsequently explored the video essay format through deeply personal works before moving into fiction with Brote en el concreto [Sprouting Through Concrete] (2025)—her first short fiction film. In this 26-minute work, Silvia, a teenage girl from Coahuila, arrives alone in Mexico City to escape a forced marriage and start a new life.
