Díaz, Miguel Ángel

He studied communication at the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL, in Spanish). He participated in the 7th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) with his feature-length documentary Pueblos unidos (2009), which was presented at more than 30 festivals around the world, including the 18th Biarritz Latin America Film Festival and the 32nd International Festival of New Latin American Film in Havana. For this film, he received, among other awards, the Sustainable Development and Environmental Award at the 2nd International Festival of Invisible “Film Sozialak” in Bilbao, and an Honorable Mention at the 27th Bogotá Film Festival (Bogocine). He also participated in the 27th Latin American Film Festival of Trieste, Italy, with Las dunas de San Isidro (2012) and in the 8th Latin American Film Festival of Flanders, Brussels with El taller (2012).
