She received the Young Creators Grant from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA) in 1988 and 2001, and the Gucci Ambulante Grant in 2009. She won first place in the category of experimental cinema at the Festival Stop Motion Mexico 2003 and an honorary mention at the 2nd Inter-Americana Biennial of Video Art of the IDB Culural Center in Washington, for her short film Invasión doméstica (2002). Her feature-length documentary La guerrera (2011) participated in the 9th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), among other festivals, and won the Grand Prize Zanate for Best Documentary at the 4th Documentary Film and Video Festival Zanate, Mexico. Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult.
