Image Cruz; Ángeles Originaria de la Mixteca Oaxaqueña, Ángeles Cruz es actriz, directora y guionista. Ha participado en películas como Traición de Ignacio Ortiz; La ira o el Seol de Juan Mora y El violín de Francisco Vargas. Como protagonista de Tamara y la Catarina (2016, dir. Lucía Carreras) ganó el Colón de Plata por Mejor Actuación en el Festival Iberoamericano de Huelva y fue nominada para al Premio Ariel 2018. Fue nominada al Guldbaggen de la Academia de Cine Sueco como Mejor Actriz por La hija del Puma (1994, dir. Ulf Hulberg). Su promisoria incursión como cineasta y guionista fue en 2012 con el cortometraje La tiricia o cómo curar la tristeza, producido por el Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía, con el cual obtuvo el Ariel a Mejor Cortometraje en 2013, así como la Palmita que otorga el Tour de Cine Francés, La Diosa de Plata, el Premio Género en Lambayaque Perú, menciones especiales en Huelva, etc. En 2013 escribió y dirigió el cortometraje La carta, también producido por el IMCINE y consiguió una nominación a Mejor Cortometraje Mexicano en los Premios Ariel en 2015, así como el Premio del Público en Colonia, Alemania y Los Ángeles, California. En 2018 su tercer cortometraje como directora y guionista, apoyado por el IMCINE, Arcángel, forma parte de la Selección Oficial de la 16º edición del Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia.
