Cañibe, Manuel

He graduated from the Universidad Iberoamericana with a degree in graphic design and from the CCC with a degree in filmmaking. In 1995, he founded the graphic and media creation workshop ÉRAMOS TANTOS, through which he has co-produced some of his films. His documentary featurette Five O´Clock Tea got nominated at the 2003 edition of the Ariel Awards. In 2014, his debut documentary El Silencio de la Princesa premiered within the Official Selection of the 12th edition of the Morelia International Film Festival and won the José Rovirosa Award for Best Mexican Documentary of 2015. Currently he is in the post-production stage of his second documentary Tan cerca de las nubes.
