Image Bernal; Susana She studied cinematography at the CUEC-UNAM film school and English literature at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She received the Young Creator’s Grant from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA), Mexico, in 2012. She has worked as a producer, photographer and director. As a producer, she has worked on several projects for which she has received various national and international awards. She participated in the Cinéma en Construction program of the 28th Cinélatino Rencontres Cinémas d’Amérique Latine de Touluse, France, with Maquinaria Panamericana, the debut film by Joaquín del Paso. She is the founder of Black Maria Cine, a production company of contemporary cinema. Her first feature length documentary Nararachi (2015) was part of the Official Selection of the 13th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM).
