Image Algara, Carlos Carlos Algara se graduó con una Licenciatura del Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. En la universidad, Carlos escribió y co-dirigió su primer cortometraje: “El intruso“. Este cortometraje tuvo la fortuna de estrenarse en el 13º Festival Internacional de Cine de Shanghai. En agosto de 2012, Carlos se graduó del programa de Escritura para Cine y Televisión de Vancouver Film School. En Canadá, Carlos se demostró a sí mismo que no sólo podía escribir cortometrajes, sino también largometrajes y series de televisión. Carlos vendió tanto su primera película como su primera serie de televisión; la primera a una productora mexicana independiente llamada Producciones a Ciegas, y la segunda a Sony Pictures Television Latin America. En 2015, Producciones a Ciegas obtuvo el presupuesto para producir la primera película de Carlos, "Verónica", un filme de suspenso psico-sexual con influencia de Hitchcock fotografiado en blanco y negro, que Carlos co-dirigió con su compañero Alejandro Martínez-Beltrán y fue seleccionada para competir en una variedad de festivales de cine, incluyendo el Montréal World Film Festival, el Festival Internacional de Cine de Guadalajara y el Festival de Cine Iberoamericano de Huelva (este último le otorgó a Carlos y Alejandro el premio al Mejor Director Nuevo en 2017.) La película también fue nominada a 8 Diosas de Plata de la Prensa Mexicana, incluyendo Mejor Película y Mejor Director, ganando dicho galardón en la categoría de Mejor Actriz, por la cual la película también fue nominada en los Premios de la Academia Mexicana de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas en 2018.
