Based on the remarkable true story of a rescued dolphin whose damaged tail had to be amputated, this is the story of Winter the dolphin, and her relationship with the people who try to help rehabilitate her, building a prosthetic tail. The very same rescued dolphin will play herself in this adaptation of her story, told from the point of view of a young boy who becomes involved in the rehabilitation process.
